A White-Lettered Sign
A girl grew up
To still be a girl inside
The things that damaged her
Along the way
Are likely not that different
From what damaged you
She moved to a place
Where the sun never stops shining
But she stopped shining
She was vulnerable
Hopeful
To a fault
She was valuable
Hidden
Behind
Walls
She smiles at a white-lettered sign
Waiting for the light
A White-Lettered Sign
A girl grew up
To still be a girl inside
The things that damaged her
Along the way
Are likely not that different
From what damaged you
She moved to a place
Where the sun never stops shining
But she stopped shining
She was vulnerable
Hopeful
To a fault
She was valuable
Hidden
Behind
Walls
She smiles at a white-lettered sign
Waiting for the light
